Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Research Project Manager to join our team in London, UK .

The Research Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a new multi-country project. The Behavioural Insights to Accelerate Net Use (Be In A Net) project aims to optimise the impact of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) by applying behavioural science to ITN campaign activities. The project will consist of exploratory research to collate existing information on the barriers and enablers influencing ITN use, including conducting primary data collection with communities in Nigeria and Uganda. A low-cost intervention will then be co-created with communities and piloted to test the operational feasibility of delivering the intervention at scale. The project will be conducted in collaboration with the Behavioural Insights Team an organisation specialising in the application of behavioural science. There is potential the project will be extended to include testing of the intervention in a randomised control trial.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong project management experience
  • Experience working with funders including contracting and project reporting
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience managing the work of partner organisations
  • Experience acting as point of contact for funder
  • Masters degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or a related research discipline
  • Experience coordinating highly skilled technical staff
  • Experience of working in multi-cultural environments and with people based remotely
  • Experience working in Southeast Asia and/or sub-Saharan Africa

This is a fixed term contract for the period of 12 months, with possible extension for up to 3 years dependent on funding.
