The Vacancy
Established in 2003, Malaria Consortium is one of the world’s leading non-profit organizations specializing in the prevention, control and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases among vulnerable populations. Malaria Consortium has worked in Uganda since 2003, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, district local governments, health facilities, communities and other partners to strengthen disease prevention, control and health service delivery.
Malaria Consortium is applying to implement integrated HIV, TB, malaria and resilient and sustainable systems for health interventions under the Global Fund Grant Cycle 8 (2027–2029) in Cluster 1 in Uganda. The programme will work through government, health facility and community structures to improve access to and quality of integrated services. We therefore would like to have a Technical Specialist - HIV/TB to the team in Uganda.
The Technical Specialist – HIV/TB will provide technical leadership and quality assurance for the HIV and TB components of the project, ensuring that interventions are implemented to a high technical standard and in accordance with Uganda Ministry of Health policies and guidelines, Global Fund requirements and relevant international standards.
The postholder will work closely with the project team, Uganda Country Office, Ministry of Health, District Health Teams, health facilities and community structures to strengthen the quality, integration and performance of HIV and TB interventions across the project, including HIV prevention, testing, linkage, treatment and differentiated service delivery; community-based HIV programming for adolescents, key and vulnerable populations and PLHIV; and TB contact investigation, screening, referral and TB preventive treatment.
