Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Senior Research Coordinator  to join our team in Maputo, Mozambique.

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the research and publication agenda of MC projects in terms of its evaluation design, research, publication, dissemination in national and international forums, and technical oversight with partners and monitoring of activities that have a strong research component. The post holder will also be accountable for liaising with internal and external technical stakeholders and managing research uptake activities.

The successful candidate will have:

  • MSc in Public Health, Global Health, epidemiology , or another post-graduate qualification with a substantial research component
  • Substantial experience in research including proposal design, management and implementation, reporting and writing manuscripts
  • Work experience as a senior project manager in public health related projects, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality project outputs
  •  Demonstrable experience designing topic guides and carrying out qualitative interviews and/or focus group discussions
  •  Experience and understanding of the Mozambique health systems context both at central and provincial levels
  •  Substantial experience in planning, implementation, data management, of a large scale, complex public health projects
  • Experience working with stakeholders at various levels including but not limited to government actors, international organizations, NGOs/CBO’s, healthcare providers and community level structures
  • Experience of building positive working relationships between NGOs and MoH
