The Vacancy
Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Digital Health Technical Officer to join our team in Abuja, Nigeria.
Scope of work
The position will be responsible for supporting requirement gathering and analysis, business process mapping, solution design, technical specification development, quality assurance (QA), system compatibility assessment, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment planning, and ongoing maintenance of both hardware and software systems for Malaria Consortium health digitalization interventions. S/he will provide capacity building to relevant programme/project staff, national and sub-national government stakeholders on the management of community-based digital health platforms, as well as providing technical operational guidance in relation to its development and integration with other national systems.
Key working relationships
The DHTO will be based in the Nigeria country office, Abuja and will indirectly report to the Digital Health Manager (DHM). The DHTO will work directly with PF/SMC programme staff, particularly the programme Technical Specialist, M&E Manager and Senior M&E Officers, while liaising with the Digital Health Team (DHT), Monitoring & Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager, Communications Specialist, Data Managers and Senior Country Technical Coordinator (SCTC) in the Nigeria country office.
Externally, this position will as directed, closely collaborate with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), various state Ministries of Health (SMoH) and State Malaria Elimination Programmes (SMEP), LGAs, partner organisations, key technology partners, technical content experts, and other stakeholders. S/he will also maintain strong working relationships in the sub-national areas of operations
