Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Senior Biostatistician on a full time, Fixed term contract for 3 years to join our technical team to be based in London, UK.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Biostatistician will provide high-level statistical leadership across Malaria Consortium’s vector control portfolio. The role will lead sample size and power calculations, advanced statistical analysis and support study design for research, monitoring and evaluation.

The post holder will support analysis of complex datasets, including interrupted time series, cross-sectional surveys, and entomological surveillance data. In addition, the role will contribute to technical capacity strengthening, mentorship, and dissemination of findings through publications and stakeholder engagement.

The post holder is required to have:

  • A Postgraduate degree in biostatistics or medical statistics
  • Extensive experience in public health statistics and applied research
  • Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications
  • Demonstrated experience in study design
  • Experience analysing complex datasets, including time series and survey data
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
  • Experience supporting proposals and protocol development
  • Advanced proficiency in statistical software, particularly Stata and R
  • Advanced proficiency in designing questionnaires using applications such as SurveyCTO or ODK
  • Strong expertise in a wide range of statistical methods
  • Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong writing skills for scientific publications and reports
  • Proven ability to mentor and build capacity in others
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
