Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Finance Officer to join our team in Ouagadougou

The Finance Officer will be responsible for timely posting of all Invoices approved and paid, petty cash management and banking, filing of office monthly financial information inclusive of payment vouchers, bank information, financial correspondence etc. S/he will also ensure orderliness within the finance department. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or  a Master in accounting, finance
  • Qualified accountant from a recognized professional body is Preferred
  • Experience working in a finance department within the NGO sector
  • Strong knowledge on French & English communication (reporting, verbal and written) ;
  • Working knowledge of accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of NGO area and/or public health;
  • Working experience in field and office as finance head of department;
  • Relevant member of professional organization;
  •  Working knowledge of accounting software PSF
  • Strong knowledge in computer science mainly excel full option
  • Abilities in analysis and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal communication and team communication skills
  • Aptitude à gérer et prioriser des tâches multiples

This role is conditional of Malaria Consortium securing funding for this role.  

Due to the nature of this role we will be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis and the role might be filled and closed before the closing date. Early applications are encouraged.

This is a fixed term contract for the period of 12 months.
