Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Driver to join our team in N'Djamena/Chad.

The successful candidate will have :

Qualifications and experience:

Required

  • Having a category B or C driver's license in Chad
  • Have work experience of at least 4 years driving a vehicle preferably in an NGO
  • Understand at least one language of Chad and can read, write and speak in French
  • Knows well driving rules.
  • Have a geographic knowledge of Chad and specifically the areas of intervention of the project
  • Be courteous and have a very good interpersonal relationship
  • Being mentally healthy

Desirable

  • Know the habits and practices of the project intervention areas
  • Have basic communication skills in English
  • Have a minimum computer literacy.
  • Have knowledge and experience in first aid
  • Be able to identify and resolve basic faults on a TOYOTA 4X4 or HARTOP vehicle
  • Know how to read a simple map, or other orientation tools

This role is conditional of Malaria Consortium securing funding for this role.  

Due to the nature of this role we will be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis and the role might be filled and closed before the closing date. Early applications are encouraged.

This is a fixed term contract for the period of 06 months.
