Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to join our team in Togo.

The successful candidate will supports the implementation of the overall M&E framework for MC and SMC in particular and implementation of related activities within the project. This include :

  • Technical contributions 
  • Work closely with the Monitoring & Evaluation and Research Officer and technical Team to develop a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plan for districts in the operational area
  • Support the Implementation of the country monitoring and evaluation plan to ensure the achievement of project targets and to inform quality control of project activities
  • Support the M&E and Research Officer in updating the tools and optimising the M&E System within MC.
  • Data and Information management  
  • Liaise with the respective national and sub-national stakeholders to ensure their involvement in project M&E activities and the effective flow of data and information
  • Facilitate the collection of appropriate health information from relevant data sources (health facilities, schools, district offices,
  • Design and manage the databases for all monitoring and evaluation activities in relation to this project. Work with the M&E and Research Officer to ensure that these are aligned with other Malaria Consortium information systems
  • Communications and reporting 
  • Prepare consolidated progress reports, reports on M&E findings for project management; guide the regular sharing of the outputs of M&E findings with project staff.
  • Representation and documentation 
  • Participate in relevant meetings at national and sub-national levels and where possible present results and experiences of the project
  • Provide effective support to all donor visits relating to both project planning, delivery and review, and for the purposes of donor fundraising and marketing.

Qualifications and experience:

 Essential

  • An undergraduate degree in Statistics, Project Management, Public Health, or a related subject
  • Advanced training in Monitoring and Evaluation
  • At least 3 to 5 years of work experience in M&E
  • Experience with performance monitoring and evaluation for international or national development projects, including developing performance indicators, data collection and analysis
  • Experience in the design and implementation of data collection and data management systems
  • Experience in data analysis and evaluation
  • Experience in translating data into accessible reports for diverse audiences
  • Experience conducting large scale quantitative surveys

Desirable

  • Experience in engaging and supporting others to contribute to M&E work
  • Experience in writing project reports
  • Experience conducting qualitative data collection and analysis

This role is conditional of Malaria Consortium securing funding for this role.  

Due to the nature of this role we will be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis and the role might be filled and closed before the closing date. Early applications are encouraged.

This is a fixed term contract for the period of 12 months.
