Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Senior Technical Specialist - Immunization to join our team in a Malaria Consortium office based in either London, Kampala or Juba.

The Senior Technical Specialist - Immunization provides  technical assistance, strategic and systems-level contributions that are evidence-led or data-informed to ensure quality design and implementation of Malaria Consortium’s immunization portfolio. This role is central to ensuring the design and delivery of effective  immunization programmes that achieve high vaccination coverage, equity, and impact—particularly in underserved and high-burden settings. In addition, they will play a role in expanding Malaria Consortium’s immunization portfolio, identifying new opportunities, contributing to technical design for funding proposals, and forging strategic partnerships to expand the organisation’s reach and impact in immunization.

The successful candidate will have:

  • An advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MD, PhD) in public health, epidemiology, or a relevant field.
  • Extensive experience in public health, including hands-on technical experience in routine immunization programmes.
  • Experience supporting immunization programming or  research in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
  • Demonstrated expertise in vaccine-preventable disease control, vaccine supply systems, campaign and routine delivery, and health systems integration.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting national Ministry of Health and EPI programmes.
  • Familiarity with global immunization frameworks, stakeholders, and funding mechanisms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and presentation abilities.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with partners in complex settings.
  • Publication record in immunization-related research.

Due to the nature of this role, we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis. As such, the position may be filled before the advertised closing date. We encourage early applications to avoid disappointment.

This is a fixed-term contract for 24 months, with the possibility of extension.

The salary and benefits package will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
