Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Development Director - Maternity Cover to join our team in London, UK.

The Development Director will lead a successful development and fundraising strategy; using fundraising and/or new business development acumen to identify opportunities, negotiate and secure awards and establish effective donor and partner relationships. Provide credible and compelling external representation for Malaria Consortium to undertake high level positioning, networking and establish strong fundraising relationships.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A successful track record of securing several high-value health awards, from philanthropy, foundations, corporates or High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI)
  • Specific recent experience securing funding with a focus on HNWI and/or philanthropic sources
  • Experience working in a similar role, with demonstrable positive impact on business development and/or fundraising
  • Extensive experience of networking at the global level with donors
  • Educated to degree level
  • Proven effectiveness in developing capacities and working in cross-cultural settings

This is a maternity cover position for the period of six months however it may be extended.

We are currently hybrid working and ask staff to come into the London office at least four times a month.
