Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a  Technical Support Officer - Events to join our team in London, UK.

As part of the Technical Team, the Technical Support Officer -Events will play a key role supporting the internal operations of a large team, whose responsibilities are central to the delivery of the organisation’s strategy and targets. The post holder will support the Technical Operations Manager in creating an environment that contributes to high performance of the technical team based in the UK office (UTT), and ensures support to the global technical team (GTT). These responsibilities cover coordination and logistics management for conferences, project support, data management and research support for Technical Offers.

The successful candidate will have :

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills and experience
  • Events management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective working style
  • Sensitivity to confidentiality issues and diplomacy
  • Ability to plan, manage and prioritise workload semi-independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English
  • Ability to take accurate and appropriate minutes
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office software package, in particular Excel
  • Ability to promote positive team dynamics
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as business, international development, public health, or equivalent experience
  • INGO experience; knowledge of development issues in Africa and Asia
  • Team coordination and operational administrative experience 
  • Operations knowledge and experience, particularly supporting use of policies and process
  • Experience and understanding of working in a diverse environment and across cultures especially Asia and Africa
  • Experience in a role involved in operational support to teams providing technical assistance
