Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Technical Support Officer to join our team in Maputo, Mozambique

To provide technical and implementation support to Gen Moz project activities, specifically sample collection, supervision and monitoring process through working closely with Malaria Consortium Central and Provincial technical staff. Additionally, at government level with DPS/SPS, district and health facility level health personnel such as malaria focal points in the locations where the project is implemented

The successful candidate will have:

  • General high school level or equivalence
  • Good skills in the following packages: Word, Excel, Microsoft Access and Internet
  • Experience in data enter
  • Experience in capacity building/ transferring of skills to health personnel
  • Experience in developing work plans and in following work plans with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrable experience and capacity in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans
  • Demonstrable experience of working in the field on implementation of health care programmes
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a team and stress tolerance
  • Appropriate and clear verbal and written communication
  • Ease of communication and good interpersonal skills
  • Responsibility, sense of organization and dynamism
  • Ethics and professional deontology
  • Availability to work outside normal office hours when necessary
  • Availability for field work
  • Fluency in spoken and written Portuguese
